RePlant Bucks program
This year we worked with Bucks Beautiful for their “RePlant Bucks” program. Their goal is to plant 10,000 trees throughout Bucks County to help rebuild the areas that have been affected by invasive insects. The Emerald Ash Borer has already “killed hundreds of millions of Ash trees in North America”(1). To help combat this issue we volunteered our time to plant Maple trees at the Honey Hollow Environmental Education Center in Solebury.

New Hope-Solebury Middle School NEW Pocket Habitat
The New Hope-Solebury Middle School and Bowman’s Wildflower Preserve partnered together to create a “Pocket Habitat” at the school. This spot serves not only as a beautiful garden space on campus but also an outdoor classroom. We were thrilled when asked to help with this project and are excited to see this garden grow over the years. Bucks Beautiful has helped by donating the trees and shrubs seen here. Later this month the plants and native flowers donated by Bowman’s Wildflower Preserve will be installed and then the furniture. The students will be using and loving this space in no time. In addition to the Bowman’s Wildflower Preserve donations, a science teacher’s advisory group at the school ran a Spring Spruce-Up Fundraiser to donate an additional Redbud tree to the garden. Please follow the link below if you would like to read more on the “Pocket Habitat” program.

Touch-A-Truck
We were out to the first ever Touch-A-Truck at Bolton Mansion in Levittown! We were there with both our Tri-Axel and Tandem-Axel trucks for the kids to climb in. The event was held on September 29th from 11am – 4pm at the Bolton Mansion in Levittown, PA. Children were able to explore different vehicles they often see in the community during this hands-on, interactive event! There was also a DJ, children’s activities, food vendors and more!
